Give us a brief description of your background

I’m Cam, currently working as Operations Manager for Trustmark. I work within the Compliance department ensuring that the correct standard of work is achieved across multiple energy efficiency measure installations, across multiple funding schemes.

As part of my role is to inspect work that has been completed on-site and ensure that the work is to the correct standard.

Good standard workmanship and installations is key to help us achieve our goals of Carbon Net Zero.

Who/what inspires you?

I am inspired by people who enjoy leaving their comfort zone, and do not mind venturing into the unknown. Be it the famous climbers and athletes I read about in books, or entrepreneurs or scientists who revolutionized the way in which the world functions today. Ensuring that I have a positive impact on helping us reach our targets of Net Zero, gives me inspiration.

What does the word leadership make you think of?

Empowerment.

How do you feel about taking part in the Future Leaders programme?

I am very excited to see where this journey takes me, I feel privileged to be in this position and to be given this opportunity to develop.

What do you think are the keys to a sustainable future?

Disruption. We need to disrupt the current habitual culture, ensuring that Carbon Net Zero now becomes a priority.

I also think that if everyone can make small changes to their lifestyle, the impact that this will have will be significant.
