Give us a brief description of your background

My name is Hannah Tweedle I was born and raised in Liverpool and I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography. After graduating I originally went down the route of becoming a primary school teacher and began my PGCE, however after much consideration I knew teaching was not the career path I wanted to pursue. This brought me back to my love of geography and the environment which is something I am extremely passionate about and has led me to the career I am in now.

My current role is operations analyst for MCS this involves project management, company reporting, supporting other departments and supporting with internal and external data requests.

Who/what inspires you?

An opportunity to help decrease the carbon footprint of our planet and increase the populations knowledge of how this can be achieved within our lifetime.

What does the word leadership make you think of?

A leader is someone who supports and encourages people and assists others to unlock their full potential.

How do you feel about taking part in the Future Leaders programme?

I am excited about being a part of the programme, I also think the programme works in a great way in which it has bought people from different backgrounds together to try and make a difference in the fight against climate change.

What do you think are the keys to a sustainable future?

Consumer awareness and education of renewable energy technologies such as low carbon heating measures.
