Give us a brief description of your background
After studying Economics at University, I joined the Centrica graduate scheme. On the scheme I got the opportunity to work on Centrica’s Net Zero strategy for its retail brands (British Gas and Hive), as well as bringing smart home products to market.
Currently I’m the Senior Commercial Manager for Low Carbon Heat, where I’m focused on growing our heat pump business and creating exciting propositions to convince customers to make the switch.
Who/what inspires you?
Working with other people that are determined to make a difference and make a positive impact on the world.
What does the word leadership make you think of?
Bravery to stand up for what’s right.
How do you feel about taking part in the Future Leaders programme?
I feel thankful for the opportunity to learn with like-minded peers and appreciative of the time afforded to me to develop and implement new learnings.
What do you think are the keys to a sustainable future?
Affordability and education. Sustainability can’t only be accessible by wealthier households. It must be accessible and affordable for all. Strong and supportive government policy and incentives must be in place to encourage uptake. Nationwide education campaigns are also important to boost confidence and willingness to transition to low carbon technology.
