Shakespeare’s Globe

Give us a brief description of your background

I studied English Literature and then did an MA in Shakespeare Studies, before working in Arts Marketing for various dance companies, outdoor arts, and festivals. I’m now Senior Marketing Manager at Shakespeare’s Globe, and get to work across a range of exciting show and education campaigns.

Who/what inspires you?

Theatre, art, literature, and music. Strong female leaders such as Michelle Obama, Ruth Bader Ginsberg, and Malala Yousafzai, and people with strong creative vision and personal integrity, such as Ian McKellen, Frida Kahlo, Jane Austen, and Dolly Parton!

What does the word leadership make you think of?

Changemaking, empowerment, and inspiration.

How do you feel about taking part in the Future Leaders programme?

Apprehensive about stepping outside my comfort zone, and optimistic that I will come away with the tools to become a better leader.

What do you think are the keys to a sustainable future?

A combination of high-level industry and governmental accountability, research and investment, and society-wide education and commitment.
