Who/what inspires you?
I believe inspiration comes from various things, such as travelling, learning new things and also from people, be it historical figures, scientists, family members, colleagues etc. I am fortunate enough to be surrounded by many things and people who inspire me on a daily basis, who continue to motivate me and inspire me to achieve to the best of my ability and drive positive change.
What does the word leadership make you think of?
I believe that leadership is the ability to provide guidance, inspiration and motivation to others in order to help individuals and groups to achieve their goals and aspirations.
How do you feel about taking part in the Future Leaders programme?
As an aspiring leader, I feel fortunate to be a part of the FLP, which will provide me with the opportunity to learn from experienced leaders, develop my own leadership styles and be supported as I take on leadership roles. I am passionate about creating a greener, more sustainable world, so it will be great to meet and share ideas and experiences with like minded individuals to strive to drive change and work towards a more sustainable, low-carbon world.
What do you think are the keys to a sustainable future?
Aside from the main three pillars of sustainability and tackling climate change and reversing nature loss, collaboration, control, communication and commitment from everyone is essential for us to drive towards a sustainable future.
Everyone has an opportunity and responsibility to contribute to being more sustainable, whether you recycle or switch to renewable energy, every little helps.
I also think it is crucial to provide skills to current and future generations, such as environmental literacy, critical thinking, leadership, cultural competence, resilience, and data analysis for a sustainable future.
