Who/what inspires you?
In every role throughout my career, I’ve always been inspired by making a difference.
What does the word leadership make you think of?
Inspiring with passion, empowering others, supporting, leading by example, giving guidance and clear direction.
How do you feel about taking part in the Future Leaders programme?
It will be great to meet and collaborate with people in the energy efficiency sector and learn from each other. I feel blessed to be given this opportunity to learn more about effective leadership and understand my own qualities and areas of improvement.
What do you think are the keys to a sustainable future?
I think educational content is key, as knowledge is power. The energy efficiency sector can be confusing for consumers, due to the complexities of the funding, schemes, energy efficiency and retrofit in general and the terminology the industry uses – which isn’t always accessible. To take people with us on the journey to net zero, and sustainability, we need buy-in and an understanding – which comes from clear and accessible communication.
Operationally, we need the right people with the right skills to deliver energy efficiency measures.
