Give us a brief description of your background

My name is Lauren Cosgrove and I’m the Sales & Renewals Manager at NAPIT (National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers). I’ve worked at NAPIT for 2 years and before this worked in another Sales role.

Before going into Sales I trained as a Hairdresser in my home town Harrogate. Out of work I enjoy spending time with my miniature dachshund Athelstan.

Who/what inspires you?

David Attenborough – I think he is a prime example of a great leader should be.

What does the word leadership make you think of?

Driving & promoting change rather than fearing it. Highlighting a problem and doing something about it rather going through the motions.

How do you feel about taking part in the Future Leaders programme?

I’m really excited to be a part of such a fantastic programme. I feel I have already developed my leadership skills. It’s also refreshing to work with a group of likeminded people and to work together to promote change whilst learning from one another.

What do you think are the keys to a sustainable future?

The key to a sustainable future is ensuring consumers are at the heart of all decisions made as these are the ones who promote change and make the biggest difference.
