Give us a brief description of your background

I have a strong foundation in animal management and customer service, complemented by experience in administrative roles. My education includes a Level 3 Diploma in Animal Management, where I gained experience in animal husbandry, physiology and business environment.

Professionally, I’ve worked in various roles, including as a Veterinary Care Assistant, where I provided crucial support in animal health, and more recently as a Helpdesk Analyst and Scheme Administration Assistant, where I expanded my knowledge in low-carbon technologies and renewables. My career has equipped me with a blend of practical skills, customer service expertise, and a commitment to sustainability.

Who/what inspires you?

David Attenborough inspires me greatly. His lifelong dedication to environmental conservation and his ability to communicate the importance of protecting our planet resonate deeply with me.

What does the word leadership make you think of?

Leadership, to me, means guiding and inspiring others to achieve a common goal while fostering a supportive and collaborative environment. It’s about setting an example and empowering others to reach their potential.

How do you feel about taking part in the Future Leaders programme?

I am looking forward to taking part in the Future Leaders Programme. I sometimes struggle with self-confidence, which I believe limits me from reaching my full potential. I’m hopeful that by applying the skills I learn in the Future Leaders Programme; I can overcome this challenge and grow more confident in my abilities. It’s an excellent opportunity to develop my leadership skills, learn from others, and contribute to a meaningful change within my field.

What do you think are the keys to a sustainable future?

I believe the keys to a sustainable future include adopting renewable energy sources, promoting environmental education, supporting conservation efforts, and encouraging sustainable practices in everyday life. Collaboration and innovation are also crucial in addressing global environmental challenges.
